My name is Christine, I am the Director of outreach to LGBTQ youth, with Social Outreach Seattle. I am reaching out to you to see if you, or your business (or both) can help with a project that I have been working on. It is FROM THE HEART. I am reaching out to the homeless and troubled youth in our community that are in need of care packages and personal hygiene kits.
Most often, it is not by their choice that they end up homeless. Did you know that an estimated 40% of homeless are LGBTQ youth? For an example of the impact FROM THE HEART makes on the lives of homeless people, check out this SOSea video about outreach HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcz521odZHk. You can make a difference! You or your business can help Social Outreach Seattle and FROM THE HEART program by donating to SOSea. It is easy and secure. Go to www.SocialOutreachSeattle.com and click the DONATE tab, follow the prompts to a safe and secure donation and we will be sure that it goes to the FROM THE HEART outreach program. Any amount helps and we thank you in advance. You can also donate items from the list below or drop them off at the following locations – (4203 SW 98th Street Seattle, WA. 98136). I can also pick them up from you.
This year 2015, SOSea and FROM THE HEART have set a goal of 300 – 500 care packages that include a sack lunch and a personal hygiene kit. Next year 2016, the goal is 500 – 1000 care packages and hygiene kits. I truly appreciate all your help with the drive items for our LGBTQ homeless youth. I do the survival packs twice a year, in June for Pride and then in December for Christmas. I am working on finding resources as well for our homeless LGBTQ youth.

We are one community, working together.
This message is endorsed by LGBT-Today and we encourage everyone to donate as much as you can afford to, for the heinous problem with homeless LGBT youth. Christine Heib is to be lauded for her efforts to alleviate this situation in Seattle, Washington, and we would hope her initiative is copied by all major metropolitan areas, which have the majority of homeless LGBT youth!
